Get the financial benefits you deserve.

Every year, United Way, the Poverty Reduction Coalition and Alberta Employment and Immigration (AEI) offer Make Tax Time Pay sessions to educate Calgarians about financial supports available to individuals.

Make Tax Time Pay identifies financial benefits and credits that directly assist low-income families by saving them money or putting more money in their pockets. The goal is to increase uptake of these existing programs and services.

Workshop facilitators lead participants through a free on-line tool called the Benefits Navigator. Participants learn how to use the Navigator to discover which benefits they might be eligible for and how to apply.

Facilitators also provide information about free local income tax preparation clinics, as most of the benefits require applicants to have filed their tax return to be eligible.

Low-income Calgarians and service providers working with low-income Calgarians are invited to participate in a workshop to learn about the benefits available to low-income households. The workshops are scheduled throughout the year.
